My Favourite Singer

My favorite singer is A.R Rahman (Alla Rakha Rahman) born 6 January as a A.S Dillep Kumar in Chennai Tamil Nadu. He is an Indian film composer, record producer, musician and singer. His film scoring career began in the early 1990s with the film Roja. He has won twenty nine film fare awards in south and national. He has gain a degree in western classical music from the Trinity College of Music in London, and set up his own in-house that the place where he put her first step.

A.R Rahman he is legend of music. We don’t have to introduce, his name itself will speak for him. His achievement brings great pride to our Indian nation. He has stolen the hearts of millions of people thought his music. A.R Rahman wins Oscars for the achievement in music written for motion pictures (Original song) for the song Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire – Music by A.R. Rahman this is one the best achievement that he can’t forget until end of his life. AR Rahman has bagged two nominations for Oscars once again.

He is married to Saira Banu and has three children, Two Daughters - Khadijah, Rahima, Son - Aameen (Roomi). His children also will take a part in his father career. For example: Ameen sings the track "NaNa" from Couples Retreat and his daughter Khatija the track "Pudhiya Manidha" from Enthiran the tamil movie. Other than that Rahman has been involved in several projects aside from film such as Vande Mataram, an album of his original compositions released on India's 50th anniversary of independence in 1997.

In addition he not only has good voice but also has talents playing the keyboard and piano, the synthesizer, the harmonium and the guitar. By virtue of these qualities, broad ranging lyrics his music cuts across the spectrum of classes and cultures within Indian society. The lyrics will be very meaning full and there is always a good message for society.

At the last he is a great gentleman. Moreover he is very friendly to his fans. Rahman will be "one of the world's great living composers in any medium" I hope he will win more Oscar awards for his future music.

Coldplay are an English alternative rock band formed in 1996 by lead vocalist Chris Martin and lead guitarist Jonny Buckland at University in College London. They are four members in a group Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland ,Guy Berryman, Will Champion. A vocalist, bassist, guitarist and drummer. Coldplay has received 43 awards from 117 nominations. They received six awards from fourteen nominations from the Brit Awards winning Best British Group three times. They have won seven Grammy Awards from twenty nominations. 2009 was their most successful year having received seven nominations at the 51st Grammy Awards—more than they had done previously—of which they won three.(from: Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).

Moreover they use the instrumental combination of guitar, bass, drums, and piano, along with vocals. Such a things make their band more unique. Other than that the perfectly chosen lyrics along with simple melodies express the emotions. They has stolen the hearts of millions of people thought their music. Music is an expression of emotion. When that listener is fully attending to the music, the music causes him to feel that emotion by or in directly expressing it.“Music speaks what cannot be expressed, and give rest to the mind. So that we can leave from stress. Music speaks for itself and the person who listens to it. It has the ability to influence people’s attitudes it’s mainly happen for teenagers. They try to change their attitude and dressing style.

I wish that all the best for their future programs. Eventually, the band worked out their differences and put in place a new set of rules to keep the group intact. I hope they achieve the band's status as the "biggest, best band in the world.

Chinese New Year is one of the festivals celebrating by Chinese. Most important of all, the Chinese New Year is what the Chinese culture is all about. When the Chinese New Year arrives, all of the family will have big celebration in their houses. Over one billion people in Malaysia celebrate Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year is to celebrate the world coming back to life and each New Year is a start to a fresh clean new year. Year of 2011 is the Year of the Golden Rabbit. Chinese New Year falls on a different date each year.

This important and festive holiday is celebrated for 15 days. Those 15 days can be from the last part of January to the middle of February. Chinese New Year is celebrated depending on the Lunar/solar calendar. The 15 days of Chinese New Year are basically eating praying and respecting others. The first day is the welcoming of the gods of earth and heaven. The Chinese eat meat for a long and joyful life. The second is to pray for all gods. The third and fourth day is for all son-in-laws to respect their father and mother-in-laws. The Chinese stay home and welcome all the gods. There is no visiting friends and family. It they do both families will receive bad luck. So they follow few things for the 15 days.

After the 15 days prayers they celebrate with their friends and family celebrate. Almost every night, food is eaten with family and friends. Some of them celebrate with their mother in-law. Such a thing will maintain their relationship with their family. Red is the color chosen for clothing, as it is a bright, happy color which encourages a bright future. And also Windows and doors will be decorated with red color paper-cuts. Traditionally, the celebration usually lasts three days and each day has its own meaning and tradition.

Other than that they will have dragon dance. Wow it’s really amazing and interesting to watch out. Is a form of traditional dance and performance in Chinese culture. Like the lion dance it is most often seen in festive celebrations. Dragons are believed to bring good luck to people.

So Chinese New Year is the most important of the traditional way of celebrating the New Year.   They also developed their own calendar system called the Lunar Calendar.  Chinese celebrate their own New Year in a unique way.
