MY FAVORITE FICTIONAL CHARACTER

My favorite fictional character is Ms. Jhumpa Lahiri. Jhumpa Lahiri was born in London and raised in Rhode Island. She is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, and author of two previous books. Her debut collection of stories,I really love her short story Interpreter of Maladies sold 600,000 copies and received the 2000 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.Ms. Lahiri writes about people in Unaccustomed Earth with an intimate knowledge of their conflicted hearts, using her lapidary eye for detail to conjure their daily lives with extraordinary precision. Ms. Jhumpa Lahiri's appreciation of the wages of time and mortality and her understanding too of the missed connections that plague her husbands and wives, parents and children, lovers and friends. she also shows how haunted they remain by the burden of their families' dreams and their awareness of their role in the generational process of Americanization. All the story in his book really amazing. Jhumpa Lahiri puts so large an emphasis on the 'stories of Indians. The stories look more realistic.
